Rehmannia Six Combination is extremely popular in the Orient. It is used as a Yin tonic, especially to nourish the Kidney and to tonify its many classical functions. It is often used as an adjunctive formula for people who want to take a more yang tonic and who need to protect against overheating from the yang formula.

Its effects are almost identical to Rehmannia Eight Combination, but it is more suited to people who have heat conditions. It is thus best for people who have red faces, a bright red tongue or for people who feel hot all the time. Rehmannia Eight Combination contains hot herbs like Aconite and Cinnamon Bark, which warm you up. Rehmannia Six Combination is the same formula minus the warming herbs.
